Boise, Idaho is home to many charitable organizations and non-profits that are doing important work to help those in need. BRMM serves Boise, Nampa and other surrounding areas with six different locations that provide essential services to those in the Treasure Valley. These include the River of Life Men's Shelter, Boise City Light Home for Women and Children, Valley Women and Children's Center, Lighthouse Rescue Mission, Recovery Lodge Ministry Center and Warehouse. Donations and volunteers are always welcome to help these organizations continue their work.
The Idaho Nonprofit Center is another great organization that provides training and technical assistance to charitable non-profits throughout the state. They are efficient and effective in their mission. The Idaho Humane Society is the largest non-profit organization dedicated to animals in the state. Located in McCall, they are the only not-for-profit animal welfare organization that does not kill animals in the mid-western mountain region of Idaho.
Boise Bicycle Project is another great initiative that works with the Village Bike Project to ship hundreds of bicycle parts to Africa. Mindy Hoskins, outreach director of Event &, spoke about the many initiatives that the non-profit organization has undertaken to promote the personal, social and environmental benefits of cycling. These charities and non-profits in Idaho deserve your time and donations, but there are many more that need your help and do excellent work. Consider donating or volunteering to help make a difference in someone's life.
